Concrete Finisher

Location: Winnipeg, MB

 

Work Location: On site

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

 

Salary: $31.50 hourly

 

Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent

 

Start Date: As soon as possible

Education and Experience

 

Education: Secondary school graduation certificate

 

Experience: At least 1 year

 

Working Conditions

Early morning, evening, shift, morning, night, on call, day, weekend, and overtime required.

 

Work Site Environment

 

Dusty, at heights, dangerous, noisy, outdoors, wet/damp.

 

The employee will be required to perform the following duties:

·        Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials;

·        Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade;

·        Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement;

·        Operate power vibrators to compact concrete;

·        Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications;

·        Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages;

·        Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools;

·        Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces;

·        Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures;

·        Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

 

Other Requirements

·        Valid driver’s licence;

·        Own tools/equipment.

·        Standing for extended periods.
